Q: « HOME » Chinese version has been released. As compared to the Korean version, what kind of different vibes would the Chinese version bring about?
😺: I think the Chinese version would probably allow everyone to relate better, after all it's in Mandarin , which is a language that we're familiar with. « HOME » Chinese version is a work that Minghao and I worked hard to write the lyrics for, so I hope everyone will like it. Thank you.Q: What is your definition of 'home'?
😺: Just like our lyrics, home is a warm place. No matter when, as long as you feel tired or weary, you can always return to us. The meaning of this song is also that we hope to become a home for our Carats, our fans are our home too.Q: You participated in writing lyrics for both « HOME » and « Can You Sit By My Side », where does your inspiration usually come from?
😺: I think it mostly comes my daily life, for example after reading a novel or after watching a movie, I’ll usually have some thoughts, like an afterthought/opinion, then I'll just naturally write out the lyrics. I actually spent quite a short time on « Can You Sit By My Side », I just had an idea at that moment and I wrote it all out.Q: What kind of song is « Can You Sit By My Side »? What story does it tell?
😺: Actually to make it clearer, just like the song's title, it's a question, (which is) asking my fans if they'd sit by my side. I hope I can always attentively share my songs and music works with you, and I hope that you will always sit by my side.Q: When you are composing, do you have a specific time or space?
😺: There's no specific ones, for example if I get an inspiration while walking on the streets, I would probably record it using my phone's memo or hum a few lines. But if I have to sit down and quietly write, I would prefer going to my member’s composing studio, turn off all the lights while leaving only the computer screen on, play the music using a speaker, and by listening and humming, the lyrics naturally come out.

Q: Previously on 'Omniscient Interfering View', the daily life of the members and managers have become a hot topic. As a member, what do you think is the most special of the 13 members’ daily lives?
😺: Firstly, I feel that it's already special having 13 people (laughs). Because just like student life in the past, for example a spring outing, one class would probably have 40-50+ people. But after high school and university, the possibility of doing activities with so many people is probably lesser, at most only having 4 to 5 people in a room together. For us 13, there definitely won’t be any time that is boring. For games like mafia, one turn can last really long when played with 13 people, standby time ends with just one or rounds (of mafia), time just passes like this.Q: After watching the program, what do you want to say to your manager?
😺: I can feel that it's quite tough, and I can relate to them. During my high school days, I live out, at times I'd help my classmates bring in takeaways. Because the amount of people that I help (bring in takeaways) is larger, I could understand how our manager feels when he takes orders for what 13 of us want to eat. Even if it's the same restaurant, let's say a Chinese restaurant, some of us may want Beijing roast duck and some of us may want shredded pork....Saying it all at once, I think it'll really be chaotic. So I still want to tell them: You've worked hard (laughs).Q: As a child actor, you've acted in many films, are there any ones that are the most memorable or meaningful to you?
😺: I think they are all especially meaningful, including the dramas or movies that I may act in in the future. I'm actually looking forward to it. No matter when, as long as there is the opportunity, I will really really want to work hard to complete it well.Q: What kind of film or role do you want to challenge in the future?
😺: Because no matter what, I'm only a child actor, I’m actually quite looking forward to how I’d be like if I were to appear on screen again as an adult now. No matter what kind it is, I do want to try it out. Just like the sad films that I acted in when I was young, including those youthful idol dramas, ancient dramas... I want to try it out. No matter if it's a protagonist, antagonist, or something that's more special or challenging, I want to try it all.Q: Use a phrase to evaluate the members' Mandarin skills in 'Home' Chinese version?
😺: As long as you work hard to learn, you will definitely be able to pronounce the words well.Q: Did any of the members do anything that's memorable to you?
😺: Actually the recording period is quite memorable, because when they were recording in Mandarin, they would probably start humming in the morning. It’s really just like my little brother asking me questions when we were younger, my little brother is younger than me by quite a few years. They'll often ask me questions every one or two hours, whether the pronunciation is like this? Then in another one or two hours, they'll ask again if it is right? Even the members that I thought had pretty good pronunciation already would also keep asking and asking, I think it's quite interesting.

Q: Without considering reality, what is the animal that you want to raise?
😺: If I don't consider reality then there's actually quite a lot, including previously when one of my member mentioned that he wanted to raise a snake, I was like Ah! That isn't a bad idea (laughs). But no matter what animal it is, I think you have to be responsible, and treat them like your family.Q: Are you usually a picky eater? What food do you like the most and what food can you not accept?
😺: Actually I do have food that I can't eat, such as brinjals and chinese mustard greens. Perhaps because my mom is from Chongqing, everyone may think that I like to eat food like mao xue wang (duck blood curd), but I don't eat chinese mustard greens. I do like other food that's spicy or sour.Q: As Shenzhen's little metro prince, have you seen your own advertisement on the train? How do you feel?
😺: Yes! Of course I have seen it before! Before debuting in Seventeen, I often take the train when I’m in Mainland. I feel it's quite interesting seeing myself.. But I feel quite shy after seeing myself, because I don't wish to cause other people to look at me when they realize the person in the advertisement is me when I’m on the train, I will feel embarrassed, so usually I'd pretend that I don't know.Q: Fans said, this advertisement may continue showing for 40 years, what do you have to say?
😺: It's my honor for it to be able to be broadcasted for 40 years (laughs). Being able to have my voice appear in an advertisement for Shenzhen's iconic train, I am actually quite happy. No matter if this advertisement continues broadcasting or there's really a chance to film it again, if they do get me to feature in it again, I'd be very willing.Q: Fans also said, you are actually only 5 years old, you can't grow older anymore, what do you want to retort?
😺: I think there isn't anything to retort.... hahaha. Because everyone sees things differently, right? Maybe these fans think I'm like a child, some would think I'm more mature, but as long as it's what everyone likes, I have no opinion on it.Q: Lastly, what do you want to say to the fans?
😺: Since then till now, no matter if it's before or after Seventeen's debut, you have always been with me. I just want to say that, all these years you’ve been working hard together with me, no matter what schedule I have, you always cheer for me, I am really happy, I will keep working hard in the future, and become a better me.
